The political landscape with regards to the confrontation with Iran is highly unstable and characterized by chaos, considering that the upcoming negotiations for peace in Islamabad have been indefinitely postponed. Although Vice President JD Vance was anticipated to head the American delegation for Pakistan, he has since stayed put in Washington, DC after Iran refused to react to the new negotiation stance presented by America due to an attack on one of their cargo ships, which has in turn raised their intention to retaliate against the United States. The issue becomes more precarious in light of the disagreements surrounding the date of expiry for the current ceasefire agreement, with Iran, Pakistan, and President Trump each having different dates set.
